The Glass and Hammer is a small cafe up the road from where we are staying. They serve everything from coffee to wine to lunch to dessert. We stopped for lunch yesterday and greatly enjoyed what we ordered. Ken ordered the curried sweet potato soup, a rootbeer and a flat white. I enjoyed the spinach and blue cheese savory tart (aka quiche) with a salad. To finish the meal we split a piece of honey and pine nut tart. It was nice to have a hot meal together to start our day of wandering around the city.-Domestic in the District
