This past weekend, which was spent with some sweet friends in Wintergreen, included a Saturday morning trip to the local farmer's market. The small row of white tents was a welcome sight as we rounded the corner, and although we only caught the end of the market, we found some great items. I promptly purchased some locally made cheese while another friend picked up some beautiful apples. We were tempted by the vendor selling homemade lavendar sachets and delicately wrapped soap bars. As you can see in the pictures, fall has arrived in Wintergreen, Va, with an abundance of pumpkins and gourds in beautiful autumn colors.
Eagerly anticipating making a root vegetable soup for next week!
