My Kind of Town

A few favorite photos from our first day in Chicago. The clouds here are the most dramatic and beautiful clouds I've ever seen. They add drama and contrast to the skyline. I obsessed with them all day.

For dinner, we ate at a steakhouse that was a bit unmemorable. Hopefully there will be comment-worthy food to come. Also ahead: a trip to the reflective bean. Get excited!

  1. Love Chicago! I lived there right after undergrad, when I was 22-24. If you're looking for a neighborhood restaurant and love BBQ ribs, Twin Anchors is the best. It's on the corner of Sedgwick and Eugenie in Lincoln Park (just north of North Avenue). I've never had anything but the ribs there. Brad swears that they're the best he's ever had (and that's saying a lot because he's eaten a lot of ribs). Have fun!

  2. although it may be your kind of town, it's my town now. yes, that's right, i said it. you are in MY town.
we love it and we were in town last night too for our halfaversary lunch at EATT, which was quite tasty.
    enjoy your visit!

  3. LOVE Chicago! If you are in Gold Coast, check out TeaGschwendner for a good selection of gourmet loose leaf teas.
